It was funded at $8.8 million last year. This program contributes funds to every part of the process in installing “microgrids, resilient facility power systems, ​and resiliency hubs.” These grants are available for local governments, critical infrastructure, businesses, communities, and organizations. It focuses on projects that create replicable and scalable distributed energy resource systems and provide energy for underserved and vulnerable communities.&nbsp;</span></p><div style="text-align:left;"><br/></div><ol start="5"><li><p style="text-align:left;"><a href="https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/clean-electricity-investment-credit" style="color:rgb(45, 180, 45);">Clean Electricity Investment Credit</a></p></li></ol><p style="text-align:left;"><span>There are also grants available at the federal level. The Department of Energy offers the Clean Electricity Investment Credit to taxpayers who implement or have implemented emissions-reducing and energy storage projects on a qualified facility before December 31, 2024. The credit is 6% of the project costs. Projects that comply with domestic content requirements or are part of an energy community receive an extra 10%. Facilities meeting wage and apprenticeship requirements can receive up to 30%.
