Last month, Power Up had the honor of attending the 2024 Maryland Public Safety and Emergency Communication Product Expo. Hosted by the Baltimore Regional Cooperative Purchasing Committee and the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, this event brings together the region’s biggest names in safety and communication technology. 

The tradeshow was a fantastic opportunity for Power Up to showcase our latest innovations to emergency managers, safety officials, and other industry leaders. Emergency department staff from the following states attended:

• Maryland

• Delaware

• DC

• Virginia

• West Virginia

• Pennsylvania

Connecting with the Industry

We had the opportunity to engage with the people at the forefront of emergency management. These conversations have already helped us understand what the industry’s current needs are, and how Power Up can help shape its future.

At the expo, we highlighted two of our most popular emergency communication products, the Solar Charging Trailer and the Power Station. These products are designed to be deployed in a wide variety of situations, making them a smart investment for emergency management teams.

The Solar Charging Trailer’s impressive features make it an all-in-one tech solution for outreach after an emergency. Community members can recharge their devices using the trailer’s charging station, which can power 60+ cell phones. RFID/PIN-controlled lockers provide peace of mind that their devices will be secure. Meanwhile, emergency response departments can broadcast updates using the 2 55” outdoor-rated screens and 400-watt audio system. Plus, it’s extremely durable and portable.

Our Power Station batteries provide power on the go wherever you need it. They’re perfect for emergency response teams looking for a portable emergency power solution. It can fuel worksite equipment, communication tech, medical supplies…anything your community needs in an emergency. The battery output is 3kWh of power, charged by AC or a solar panel. It weighs only 50 pounds and can be set up nearly anywhere thanks to the hard-shell rugged case.

We’re proud of the emergency response solutions we already offer, but we know it’s just the beginning. Power Up continues to be at the forefront of portable power solutions.
